Corporate Social Responsibility Programme
Herm is open to the public year round, and as such, is open to community projects which help keep the island in the best possible shape. If your company would like to get involved in Herm’s community projects as part of their CSR policy, we would be delighted to hear from you. The following are typical projects available for CSR. Work available depends on the time of year and number of people in the group.
Beachwatch
Numerous times a year Herm residents and staff and other local environmental groups organise beach cleans to ensure the island is kept in great condition whilst protecting our unique and precious natural environment.
Tree Planting
Herm occasionally receives trees from the Woodland Trust and help with planting and maintenance of newly planted tree areas is always appreciated. Over the past few years, several hundred trees have been planted around the island. Without regular maintenance, the trees quickly become swamped by undergrowth.
General garden maintenance
Everything grows quickly in Herm and our small team of gardeners always appreciate volunteer help.
